Updated Calendar
Your student should have received an updated calendar in class today! Here's a copy just in case it got lost in transit :)
Please keep in mind that 3 Pep Band performances are REQUIRED. Attending all 6 will mean some extra credit and a special award at the end of the year banquet!

Band-a-rama 2017 - 12/21
HS uniform: Black dress pants, black shoes, black socks, option of either all black on top or "Ugly" Holiday Sweater. Students may also wear a Santa hat if they would like.
7th/8th uniform: Black dress pants, black shoes, black socks, option of either black polo on top or "Ugly" Holiday Sweater. Students may also wear a Santa hat if they would like.

Call times:
5:00pm - Set-up/decorating the gym (Percussion MUST be apart of the set-up crew)
6:00pm - HS Band warm-up/tune in Band Room
6:30pm - 8th Grade Band warm-up/tune in Choir Room
6:45pm - 7th Grade Band warm-up/tune in Band Room
Concert begins at 7:00pm! Bring your holiday spirit :)

MSBOA Festival 10/10/17
Marching Band Festival, the pinnacle of our marching season, will be held at East China Stadium (1585 Mesiner Rd., East China) on Tuesday, October 10th, 2017.
Busses will leave the school at 5:20pm sharp. Students are to be on the bus in full uniform with their instrument stowed in the trailer.

Performance information is as follows:
6:00pm Pictures
6:20pm Warm-Up
7:00pm Performance

The awards ceremony should start at 9:00pm and be done by 9:30pm, putting us back in Algonac by or before 10:00pm.
Students are strongly advised to eat a healthy meal prior to leaving for festival. Although concessions may be available, we may not have time to visit that area. A formal group picture is taken prior to our performance. Information on ordering the group picture
will be available at the festival and will be available on the band website.

BWAC Festival tomorrow, 10/3
*Busses leave at 2:45pm
*Full uniform - we’ll break into halves for mass band rehearsal (make sure to have black socks)
*Mass band rehearsal begins at 4:00pm
*Show begins at 6:30pm - we are 6th on performance list
*You may bring money to purchase food at concessions or you may pack something to eat during the dinner break.

CMU Band Day
Today the permission slips were printed for CMU Band Day but in a haste to march the halls, they were sadly forgotten. Some students grabbed one from me but some didn't, if you'd like to print your own, the document can be found in documents and forms. If you would like to wait until Monday, they will be passed out in class. Sorry for the inconvenience!

IMPORTANT
IMPORTANT: Due to busy schedules (both students and Ms. Turner) rehearsal scheduled for JULY 11th will be cancelled. We will see you July 18th for our first summer rehearsal before pre-band camp! Please feel free to email at ricci.turner@acsk12.us with any questions. Enjoy another week off!

Should return to High School around 2:00pm

Pickerel Tournament Parade: Sunday July 2nd
12:30pm - 1:30pm - Band room will be open
1:30pm - Attendance/Warm-up/Line up at Lions Field
2:00pm - Step-off

Uniform: White shorts, white shoes, white socks, blue parade shirt (will be handed out at Thursday's rehearsal).

There will be no time for changing when we arrive so you need to be in full uniform for the duration of the trip

Concert Black - black dress pants, black shoes, black socks, black dress shirt/cardigan/blazer, with a dash of blue or gold (ex. tie, jewelry, hair accessory)

We will warm-up at 10:25am, perform at 10:50am, and sight-read at 11:20am

Our ratings will be posted shortly after our performance - if you would like to purchase concessions, please bring some cash. You may eat while we wait

After ratings are posted, we will return to Algonac High School

Parents - if you’d like to take your student home with you, please indicate on the permission slip that they will not be riding the bus home
